Glad Beagler could help you out. I wouldn't mind having one now on my pontoon. I wonder how it does with perch. I would drag a few times and snag that rope and then you would have a backup, Rocket!

Probably so since there were a couple messes of fish on-the-bone inside it.

The only way Ive ever pulled this kind of basket is when planed off.....around 21-25 mph. Ive used it since I was in my 20's.

Yep, get it up on plane and let the rope out, I know one thing, if you let it sink it is heavy trying to pull it up, especially full if fish.

Well, I have found out (for those that use a basket like this), tie you a gallon milk jug on the end of the basket with about 3' of rope attached. After pulling the basket and you stop the boat the jug holds up the basket. Point taken is should anything happen to the snap on the boat or basket or if the rope broke...you WONT loose your basket. I should have learned this trick a looooong time ago but atleast Ive learned it now.

If you use a tide bottle in stead of a milk bottle it will be easier to see

That would have to be a big turn buckle or giant swivel! I think I'll be looking to get one even at the high price it would pay for itself within a few trips.
