    Default Lake Wylie 5-1-23

I met up with Uncle Remus this morning at Ebinezier, landing around 6:30. Nice morning, except the wind was blowing about 15 to 20 mph. We tried to set up a couple of times. Then, we found a place that was partly protected from the wind. Water temperature was 66.7 and wasn't muddy. We pulled in our lines at noon. Our total catch was 41. 1 catfish, 20 crappie, and 20 perch. All fish were caught tight lining minnows. Thanks again for another great morning on the water. I'm not to sure what type of fish is in the last picture??

I bet the wind was bad. My wife's windmill looked like a prop engine on steroids. I'm glad you two made the trip. I know it's been a long time since your last time out. You had a good cooler of fish. Thanks for the report. Looks cold on you'll.

Congrats on the catch. If the wind was as bad as it was here then youre some brave soles.

We were going down the lake with the wind, and the GPS speed was 18 mph. And it seemed like we were sitting still. Because there wasn't any wind blowing in our faces.

it's been a rough 6-7 weeks on Uncle Remus - didn't get to go fishin for couple weeks before my wife had a near death episode and in hospital for almost a week than doctor visits -blood checks- blood pressure checks- oxygen checks- fixing special food- and all the other things that goes along with taking care of a sick wife had me house bound with her so long they started calling me doctor -Uncle Remus-. - so when fishfinder8 told me he had a half day kitchen pass and Sweetie said she thought she could make it half a day we decided to go and since about 98.99% of the time we go fishin its in hurricane force wind so the wind Monday felt like a cool summer breeze to us. Thanks for listening to my story and remember next time the wind is blowing up near 20 mph or so -- just think Uncle Remus must have fishfinder8 or some old dirty Bigdawgg on the water fishin
