I would avoid the mud and fish the lower end for the next few days. I would stay off the main channel cause they will be pulling water. If the water you’re fishing is dirty use orange.

I crossed over the southfork river at the Catfish cove this morning. it was red, raging, and full of trash.

Heard you guys got pounded with rain. Over a course of 24 hours I got 1 and 6/10's inch. I'm hoping the upper end of Clark Hill is still fishable.

I was on the water yesterday at mid-lake Clarks Hill and the water was as clear as it has been this year. Several feet of visibility. I don't know how the rain we had last night will effect it, but probably not very much. While I didn't fish, everyone else and their brother did. In one small creek there must have been at least 20 boats fishing and every cove I saw had a boat in it at one point. It was a very busy Saturday.
I was on the upper end yesterday and like you, boats were everywhere. Water was in great shape as far as trash is concerned. It could be a bit more stained for my liking though. Rained HARD here last night, not sure how much though.

I've got a different take. GO TO THE MUD (out of the current). ....As tackleboat said, use orange.
