Similar approach here, CP. Okuma Magda 15's but I predominantly pull vs. push so I'm using 9' ProAnglers primarily because I like a bit more backbone for when I'm pulling planer boards + 1oz trolling weights + cranks.

I'll start pulling @ 1.5mph and use the Precision Trolling app to determine how much line I need out to get to my desired depth with the particular crank I'm running.

For anyone pushing or pulling, remember that it's not just the amount of line your reel says you have out, it's the amount of line from when your line hits the water to the bait. Depending on the angle/length of your rods, you could have 7-10' of line out of the water and if you're figuring that into your line counter reel as "live" line, you might be running 1-2' above your target depth (depending on speed).

It's art and science but very, very productive (and fun) when you dial it in.
