    Default 4/20 Wylie

Went out with a plan to just try different tactics. Checked a couple brush piles and didn’t really see much. Went shallow and found a dock that was loaded but couldn’t get them to bite. Found some solo open water fish and start picking them off. Had forgotten how much fun that is so spent some time. Finally checked more brush and did ok. Saw some roamer and started chasing again. Wind kicked up and white capped. We just kept working. Ended up with a fair day for the conditions, 46 fish, didn’t keep any and had a couple nice ones. Caught them from 8 foot to 22 foot. Saw water temperature from 63 to 72. Fished stained water to clear so I wanted to mix it up, I’d say we mixed it up good. Name: IMG_2587.jpg

You did good and that fish looks healthy. I was out there with my cousin Steve from 10 am until 4 pm. We faired pretty good on BA way up in the backend. We found them at 15 foot and a few at around 8 feet also. Wed, 4-19 had 53 kept 19 and 4-20 had 47 kept 25. Lots of little fish which is a good thing but heck to weed through to get some keeper fish. My time is running out for fishing I got another surgery coming up soon, so I will be depending on you to keep me happy with pictures and stories.

The Quality is way down for me with the occasional good fish that keeps you hopeful. I’m missing Dec-Feb. fishing already. Yesterday had me talking to myself. Women in Pontoons trying to see how close they can get, pleasure boats plowing with the bow sticking up and the best is the Wake Boats making wakes that will toss you overboard if you ain’t sitting down. It was so bad the white capping wasn’t much of a nuisance. Wish you could have seen the kids making waves on Jetskis inside the No Wake Zone at the Landing. Where is a Resource Officer when you need them. It’s early in the Warm Season and I’m not coping well!! I may have to do like you stay off the water.
