Has anybody been to Monticello lately? Planning on taking some of our church youth down there Sat. night.

Any news would be good.

THe little cats are biteing good right now so it shouldnt be a problem to get them on some of them.If you can get some catalpa worms they seem to be all over them this year.THe white perch has been schoolin up real heavey too and they make fast action for kids.You can find them on the humps that top out at 20 foot.

Hey ringtail,

We took a couple of kids down and fished till around 11pm, caught a few small catts on a varity of baits, cut shad, stink bait, night crawler, mussels,
I caught a 5lbs 2oz. large mouth on a top water just before dark.

Wind got up around 9:30 was blowing pretty good, I marked fish at every location I stopped from the dam all the way up to the other landing.

Was not familar with the lake and run up on a mud bank going back to the lower landing, watching my depth finder, this hump came out of no where, lucky I was not running fast, got trimmed up and floated off pretty easy.

I work with a lady who's son went down last Thursday, hook up on an 18lbs. blue on shad.
