All I can tell ya is Savannah river is loaded with timber atleast down as far as Fishing Creek. Anywhere below there and I dont know.
I hoping to get into some deep flooded timber on Clarks Hill and it’s pretty vague on my lake maps. Most seems in the river channel and creek channels on the mid section of the lake. I’m not that familiar with the lake and hoping to shorten the learning curve.
Can anyone give me some areas that has what I’m looking for? I appreciate any input and DM if you’d prefer not to broadcast.

The SC side of the main channel has timber all the way down to almost horseshoe island. I’ve been hung up in quite a bit of it!

Like he said ..... Basically from just above Murray Creek, on the SC ledge of the river channel is a wall of timber all the way up. Yes there are some clear spots, but not many. When the lake was down 8 feet you could see the wall very easily and I felt a few pieces when I idled through it around McIntosh bottoms. There is also some random stuff between there and the SC bank.
Good luck!

For midlake try in Benningsfield Creek. When the lake gets below 7 feet down all kinds of timber starts to pop up in deep water in there. You don't have to go very far in to find it either.
