Default Beautiful Lake Wylie fishing with Uncle Remus

This man is on top of the game. We fished from 07:45 until around 3:30. He fished, and I followed orders on where to put the pontoon and keep it into the wind. We had 39 on the clicker and 30 crappies in the cooler with 1 perch. Others were released to swim another day. Now the good. Bad and ugly! The bad first. The cranking battery died. It is 5 years old and has been a good one. The good we managed to use trolling motor to get in the the ramp area. Very long haul. The ugly was getting centered on the trailer and hooking up to bring her home. I tried to step down to the trailer to guide the toons farther onto the trailer. I fell into the Beautiful Lake Wylie , cut my little finger, and almost took the pad off the end of the finger. Managed to fall twice, trying to get up in the water. I finally got the pontoon hooked up and cranked that long azz strap back in. Man, that crap will wear you out. Got the boat loaded and then unloaded Uncle. Remuses, gear, and the cooler. Into his truck. I changed my clothes and wore my bibs and a flannel shirt home. I changed again so I could go to the medical center to see what they could do for the finger
So heres the fish and Uncle Remus showing off and of course me.
I got nine stitches to tack the skin back down. Ya'll be careful. Thanks, Uncle Remus, for a great day fishing except for my boo boo!Name: 20230206_162946.jpg

Sounds like a good trip… except the bad and ugly part. Hate you sliced your finger. That’s gonna be sore there for probably a good while. Hopefully I'm wrong and you heal fast. Glad you were able to get out and enjoy time on the water together guys. Good job.

Nice catch and post, enjoy your new battery, crappie meals, and a finger that’s healed.

Dawg...you gotta start being more careful. You aint getting any younger ya know! That finger looks like it coulda hurt.

Now...falling in the water and not once but TWICE!!! Remus has GOT to get a little quicker with that camera.LOL Glad you had some dry gear with ya and hope that hand heals soon.

Nice catch on those crappies. Looks like some good eats for ALOT of folks. Thanks for sharing the pictures.
