    Default SC Little River.

    WooHooo got the skunk off.
Long-lined the SC Little River today. Brought home six to eat. Had 7 escapees. Caught them in the bend of the main channel where a creek channel joined it. Water temperature was 45-52. Water was pretty orange so was glad for the sunshine, we fished roadrunners tipped with minnows. I think the spinner blades flashed enough for the fish to see them. Caught a nice Hybrid too! What a battle it was on the light crappie rod. The crappie were beautiful almost iridescent. Name: IMG_7182.jpg

That’s great, man the water is muddy. Glad you had a good trip, hope the fish aren’t gritty.lol

Good report and catch. Cold water drains all the color out of the crappie but still great looking fish!

I usually look down the side of my motor to see how far in inches I can see into the water. If I can see 4-5" then that's good enough for me. I know the fish can see my jigs. Now that said...the last time I went fishing I fished in water where you could see the trolling motor had stirred the mud up as I went along and STILL caught fish. There was NO visibility but it appears the fish are still pushing farther back into the creeks. I cant wait to get everything on my boat fixed so mI can get after 'em again.

Congrats on your trip and the catch. That striper HAD to be fun....jut hope it didnt tangle every rod on your boat. That's usually my luck. Thanks for the pictures.
