Default Lake Wylie stripers and crap pie.

Had a great night fishing, beautiful Lake Wylie for Lake Wylie stripers, and crap pies. All in fun and being loud and obnoxious with several c.c members who seem not to ever get enough fishing or friendship. We had several folks planned and most showed up for a windless but chilly evening. I believe there were 6 boats that braved the elements. My partner and I managed to get a couple crappies and some Lake Wylie stripers. (White perch) fish were scattered and hard to bring to the lights, plus there was a full moon to boot. Hope to get out this week some and get rid of remaining minnows.
Team rookie took the honors of Big fish with a few fellows hitting hard on the scale to beat him. Had a good time, guys, and I'm ready for another trip.Name: 20230204_205958.jpg

Sounds like you had fun and that's what counts. And a mess of fish to boot! Congrats.

Water temp was 53, but that would not be what was down the lake. We were up near the output side of the nuclear plant. I can't post the other picture due to c.c policies. You'll just have to use your imagination. Name: Wylie%20coyote.jpg

Had fun with the crazy folks. That’s what the lady at the gate called us as we came in. Bite was slow. Temps were chilly. But it was still a fun night. Hate that only 1 ounce kept me out of winner’s circle. May have been rigged. Just look at the guy holding the balance bar. That was after two digital scales went dead battery on us. But had fun. Will do it again soon.
