Did some Solo Fish sniping today. The fish were really scattered. The Active Fish were really shallow in the water column which is good news for Trollers!! Caught a couple at 3-4’. The most aggressive we’re 6-12’. Caught 35: and kept 20. Most were 10 1/2- 11 1/2 inches. Had one 13 1/2. Water Temp was 49-52 degrees. That definitely helped the bite. Don’t be afraid of muddy water, put on a Orange jig and fish. Name: IMG_2293.jpg

Don’t know how deep you ran your baits but the fish deeper than 12 just wouldn’t bite for me. There was plenty deep that was a distraction till decided it was a waste of time to fish for them.

We run different depths and did get some fish. I guess with minnows it is not always the offering they want. I got to get out there more than I have been. A Fib bothering me last week and Dr. appointments for the first of the year was way too many. Getting old sucks. I like the jig combination of colors. I might try to make a copy in paddle tail and stinger. If it works, you'll have a few to lose in the brush! Definitely a good catch and size helps fill the limit.

That is a pretty jig. Sort of reminds me of the fancy koi fish.

That bait is a Bardo Bait. It seems to be a tad smaller than B. Garlands and is firmer. Which makes it more durable. I ordered a few packs just to check them out. I’ll be ordering more for sure. They have some really nice color combinations to make the tacklebox pretty. The head is one I cast and I mixed some powder paint to get that color.
