I've moved down here two years ago from the upper end where I've fished 37 years. Have caught some in GA and SC Little Rivers but not nearly with the consistency of my favorite upper end creeks. And still being a working stiff, I don't have much free time to hunt for them down here. So I typically trailer my boat to the upper end, but I'd sure like to find some productive creeks on the lower end too.

So I fished Keg Creek with no luck on 26 Feb. Tried around the docks and the bridge.
Went to Dordon Creek, Landam Branch and Benningsfield Creek today. Found some in Benningsfield Creek in a brush pile but couldn’t get them to bite. They were in 15 feet of water. I keep striking out and not really sure why. If anyone could help me out with what I need to be looking for this time of year I’d appreciate it.

JD, if you can find ANY stained water (check the maps for creeks that run into the lake) then that would be the spot I'd try longlining in. If you dont longline then put you a few rod holders on and SLOWLY drag a few minnows under corks behind you in shallow water. IF you can get 6 or 8 lines out behind you then you should stand a chance of catching some fish. It's getting near that time of year now. Look for some 8' to 10' flats and work your way towards the back of them. That's about the best I can give ya since Ive NEVER fished the lower end of Clark Hill Lake. Good luck!
