talked to bandman today, who went to wateree last night with his young son on a striper hunt. he said it was sorta quiet till about 1 am when he started catching fish. he had 8 rods out and his son had went to sleep so he had to take in about 4 of em since 8 was more than he could watch. caught a few perch and a couple catfish. he said he felt if he had someone with him to help watch rods hed have caught many more fish since he was gettin a lot of bites he couldnt get to in time. he fished till 4 am and come home. i think he said he brought home 9 fish in the 3 pound range and lost one really nice fish at the boat cause his net had blown out the boat going down the road and he was having to bare hand em into the boat

Ya know, a while back I recall bandman and his son went out crappie fishin without a net and caught 60 some big slabs. Now he claims the net "blew out the boat going down the road". I think that incident aboard the beast where he mistook a netter for a lifter may have left a deep scar.....

No shad, They have herring

yeah, thats all he had when we bought ours. he said shad was too hard to keep alive long enough to sell in this heat.
