Scottymoe, you shouldnt have a real hard time finding some fish if you rely on your graph to tell you where theyre at. There is just so many places to look. English Cr., that sharp rt hand turn after the multiple boat docks headed towards the bridge, in/near the cr channel right after going underneath that bridge all the way to the mouth of Lone Cane Cr. At times Ive even done well up in and from the mouth of Lone Cane up and into Mill Creek (probably too shallow in MC now). There's just so many nice places to fish in that area. If you go that far dont overlook heading up the river channel after passing the Big "S" turn where the river runs into the lake. Dont worry too much about the muddy water. I fished muddy water yesterday and did alright. Good luck to ya.

We pulled jigs in the whole area, from .7 mph to 1.2 mph. 1/16 to 1/8. Every color we have in 9 feet to 25 feet. Along the channel, near the points. Some with minnows and some naked. Got zero respect from the fish. Not even a nibble. But we were together and enjoyed a beautiful chilly day that God made. I’m a blessed man. Name: IMG_6808.jpg

Scottymoe, I'm glad the two of you got to spend the day trying to put the crappies in the boat. I guess the old saying goes....sometimes you the bug and sometimes you the windshield.I hope you guys have better luck on your next outing. I was hoping that I was helping ya. But as it appears I'da been the SKUNK in Little River. SC.

Still trying to figure this longlining out. Fished the Dordon Creek area today pulling 1/16 round head jigs anywhere from .9 - 1.2 mph. Caught one crappie 11” and one small yellow perch. Missed several other bites and marked lots of fish. Will try again tomorrow before the rain moves in for a couple days. I do have a question . How long do you guys fish before you start changing colors. Thanks

I dont usually change colors as I usually have an assortment already out there. Today the fish wanted lighter colors than they did 2 days ago so I changed about half from blue/black and black (and a few other darker colors) to green/yellow and elect chickens. Those were my hot colors today. A better answer I suppose would be if I had one particular colored curly tail that got bit several times more than the rest then I would probably add a couple more of that color out in my spread.

I’m sure grateful for all your information. It’s the first time I’ve been zeroed at the Hill. Had to happen sooner or later I guess. I’ll be back early spring for another go at them. It’s a 3 hour drive for me so I don’t make it often. Tight lines to you my friend.

I feel your pain on the 3 hour drive. Same for me!! I have to do an overnight and fish 2 days to make it work for me. Awesome Lake! A whole week would be great. Surely in a couple days you could locate some and then wear em out! Don’t give up on longlining it’s very productive. Butch is a Master Longliner so his results are hard to match.
