Nice setup
Caught a mountain of perch on my recent trip to Lake Greenwood over this past weekend. I was after crappie, but the perch showed up. Ended up with 3 crappie and 40+ perch on minnows tight lining. I released all the perch this time. Planning to give it another shot this weekend. Perch are definitely fun to catch but I want to get on the crappie this time. Have to look a little harder.
Perch make some mighty fine eating.

The bigger perch are good eaters too, Good luck getting those crappie. Been a few years since I fished on Greenwood but am planning to start back fishing there more very soon.

Those perch can be a pest!! What I usually see is the perch are closer to the bottom than crappie as a general rule. You might try running your baits higher to catch crappie. I usually see the perch at 16-20 feet deep and Crappie at 12-16 feet regardless of the water depth. When I see a school I usually try to catch one to make sure what it is. I have been fooled before. I’ve also seen them mixed together. Recently if I get shallower than 16 feet I get into the perch. Good Luck at Greenwood, I miss fishing there.
