    Default Clark Hill 11/29

Hit the water in the fog this morning and slowly motored to where I wanted to fish. Wasnt a problem though as I was the only boat on the water. Air temps around 40*, no wind, and visibility probably no more than 50'. And it stayed foggy until finally lifting @ 9:30.

Nice day to be there. Slick water late into the morning........

Never fast and furious but kept picking up a fish here and there. The usual dinks bit but then there was some good sized ones too. I needed the net on several of them. Lost lots of jigs today...more than usual but I did most of my fishing in 8'-9' of water. Sorta hate the rain is moving in tomorrow now or I'd probably be back on the water tomorrow. Ha!

Finished the morning catching 39 and keeping 19...

Where on Clarks Hill were you catching them? I have been looking for them on the dam end of the lake but haven’t found any since early November. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

I'll try and give you some info that might help you on your end of the lake. I was fishing in one of the creeks that goes from shallow to a half mile out the creek is deep. The water is slightly stained and the water temps is high 50's. I wasnt catching anything shallower than in 7' of water and nothing in deeper water than 13' deep. I was pulling single 1/16th jigs anywhere from 1.0 mph to 1.3 mph to keep them from hanging on the bottom. I was on a flat where the water doesnt change alot of depth for along ways and when it does start getting deeper it changes about 3' at a time for another good ways. Each day can be different. The next time I go it might be 13' of water that is the best pulling .8 mph. Look for the bait. The crappie are feeding and if there's bait then the fish shouldnt be that far away.

I hope this helps you and welcome to the boards.
