Default Striper fishing is tough right now

Last week I was at Clarks hill trying to find some stripers. They were hard to find…..
On a good note the catfish are biting as well as the green carp.

For some reason, over the years I've found October to be extremely tough for hybrids/stripers at Clarks Hill too. I will mark a lot of fish but it's like they are staged up and waiting to bust open when the water temps finally reach a level they like. But like you said, the catfishing can be crazy good. We would kill them out on the ends of 40 and 50 foot humps down the lake.

Trying desperately to figure out the blue cats on the Hill this year. Never targeted them intentionally before. Did great in June and July, but it's just been a few here and there since.

I haven't targeted cats in years but I have some buddies that still do it. Once the water temps drop into the 50's, you can get some giant blues up in the creeks pulling bottom rigs around massive concentrations of bait. Just run your creeks and find the ones that black out the graph with threadfins.
