Great catch. For everyone that you catch there are 10 to take his place. Hang in there trapping. Hogs will ruin a deer area in no time. They breed like rabbits. And destroy deer habitat.
Great eating there. Just right for a backyard bbq.

A pile of dead pigs looks like work!! That’s the way to thin them out.

Since they were small I did clean the whole thing with the littliest one and split it down the middle of the backbone from one end to the other with that in mind. But when putting the meat up in the freezer yesterday I decided to just qter it out and smoke it that way since the front ends were so much smaller than the hams.

Smallest pig = wife is cooking a hind qter and a front qter in the large crock pot today. The sample I just ate is some more GOOD!!! uummmmm!!

It was some work but how many opportunities do you get at "baby veal"!! From start to finish in 2 hours Nate and I was through cleaning and all the meat was hanging in the fridge. It appears on the trail cameras the remaining two hogs have fled the scene......atleast for now. (two nights, no pics)

Now, armadillas are tearing up my yard. After a bit of U-tube research I now have two traps set. When does it all end?!?

So now you are trying for armadillo tacos? I heard you can eat them, but I would rather have the smoked hams off the pigs. Ketchum probably has a recipe for the armadillo. Could be some interesting ways to do it.

Well, I'll have to leave that up to Ketchum. I rank an armadillo right up there beside a coyote and possum, which I have NO DESIRE to eat either one of 'em. HA!
