Theyre plentiful here in NE Ga now. Ive been seeing live ones for years as I'm sure you do too. My neighbors have killed a couple tearing up their yards but Ive never had 'em in mine. Last nite one came bumping along the boards I had up guiding it to the trap and it woke up the Mrs. She got up and flipped on the light to see what the noise was and vamvoose! It was gone. Will keep trying until I catch it or it leaves.

Seeing them here In East Tennessee as well. Grew up on the Gulf Coast so I am used to seeing them on the side of the road. Saw one road side here in town. Had to turn around and do a double take to see if my eyes were playing tricks on me

DSJ, I did the same thing about 5 years ago. Now I see 'em laying in the roads every week and it aint nothing to see live ones in the road too. A couple years ago I stepped out of a tall weed field when scouting a little and into some viney woods with thick canopy and I musta stepped into the middle of them because about 8 of 'em scattered into every direction. There for a minute I though I done soiled my britches. LOL

BTW, for those that dont know, be careful when a live one is in the road. Right before you hit one with a car or truck they are subject to jumping straight up and can do some serious damage to a grill or hood.

I'm seeing some armadillos on the side of the roads lately around here as well. Guess they will have to compete with the groundhogs
