    Default Lake Wylie 9-7-2022

I met up with Uncle Remus this morning at Ebinezier landing around 6:30. We hit the water. Marked a large school but they wouldn't bite. Made a move and Uncle Remus hooked a 5 pound catfish. I caught one perch. We looked around some and Marked another school caught 2 more cats. Moved around and found a school of hungry perch. But then they shut down. Final count was 21. 1 crappie, 12 perch and the rest were catfish. It was overcast and light winds when we started fishing. The the sun came out and the wind picked up. The water temperature was 84.5. We loaded up the toon around 12:30. Thank you for a great morning on the water even though the bite was slow.

Glad you two got out and found a few biters. I thought of calling Remus at 5 am this morning but figured he needed his beauty sleep. Good trip even with the catfish invading the live well. Better times are coming with the weather and water temps changing.

I went to Norman today. Water temp. 79 early and 84 bout 2:00. Strong breeze and overcast, really comfortable. The fishing was tuff!! Fished 26 piles and only caught 25 crappie and 8 spots. Saw plenty of fish I couldn’t get to bite. Better Days Ahead!! Thought Norman was the problem but sounds like Wylie was tuff to.
