    Default Wateree 4/8

Took a friend out this morning on his first ever fishing trip. Went up the river on Wateree with some gizzard shad. He caught his first fish ever and it was a 14 lb blue cat! There were a bunch of bites this morning.

I was hoping there might be some stripers up there, but it may have been too muddy. Still haven't got a good one of those at this lake.

A 14 lber for a very first fish is GREAT. My first was probably a 3" bream. Ha! Congrats on your trip together.
