I used to think there wasnt any other kind of fish better than fried catfish.................then I started crappie fishing.Just be sure to cut any red off the fillets and it's a fine piece of fish.

Absolutely remove the red. I do like some crappie fillets. But some properly cleaned and fried catfish nuggets are mighty tasty as well.
