    Default Fishing Lines

I hope I’m not the only sucker to try very line known to man. I know I’ve tried a lot. I hate line with memory. I hate line twist. It must be sensitive. I wanna feel the bite. I’ve pretty much settled lately on my favorite but have one more to try so I’ll quit thinking about it. I have some Sniping Braid ordered to try. I’m wondering if the hype is real. Gotta find out. My favorite is K9 Crappie Braid. It is 5 pound test and zero memory and line twist. Never get a loop on the spool. The only negative is it’s terrible when the guides are freezing. It is super sensitive, I feel the lightest tick. Tried to like braid but couldn’t till I got the Crappie Braid. Tried a lot of Fluorocarbon too, again K9 is my favorite. I also bought one of the spinning line spoolers. Yes, I think it helps. Name: IMG_0931.jpg

With longline trolling I dont have to worry so much about line twist and memory because I break off so much that a spool of line just doesnt stay on the reel that long. My reels hold about 90-100 yards of line. I use Vicious 6 lb hi-vis line.

I am a braid fan as well. It will freeze in the guides quick. Every time it happens it is a reminder to have at least one rod on the boat with mono on it.

Exactly, I’ve also tested and found I shoot/cast it 5-10 feet further than Fluorocarbon. I have 2 identical rod and reels so I’ve actually tested them in my driveway.

I have bought some of the K9 recently. It has one trip on it. My go to braid is Power Pro Slick 8 in moonshine color. I like the 8 pound test in 1 pound diameter.

I bought some Yo-Zuri Braid and pulled some off the spool to see how it looked. It was so curly it will never make it to my crappie reels. Never saw any braid with that much memory. Save your money!!

Been using k9 products for sometime. Hi vis fluo on my short casting rods and crappie braid on my 10 foot poles. Love the product. I don't fish when it is freezing.

Suffix 832 Braid in 8lb is my favorite. Shows up well on scope. A solid floro line IMO has VERY LITTLE legitimate use. Some of the bass guys use it for various baits that need a stiff line but not braid stiff. I was a fireline fan but slowly transitioning to Sufix 832. I do use a mono or floro leader, as some of the clear water lakes they can be a little finicky.
