    Default Wylie 2/7

I had cabin fever so I suited up and fished today. Started fishing close to S. Point landing and caught 10 and 3 keepers. Checked Catawba CK and saw some at the mouth but it was white capping and couldn’t get on them. They got gone. Went to Mills and saw bait but no fish. Head to Crowders and got
9 with 7 keepers. Still not seeing many in the creeks. Water temp 44.6. Had a 12 3/4 and a 12 1/2. Not really picture worthy. Had the lake to myself. Never saw a boat till I headed to the landing. Enjoyed the day, way better than couch sitting and TV watching.

At least you braved the damp chill to go. Maybe tomorrow or later this week it will be better. Good trip regardless the low number of keepers.

Yea, I checked a few creeks on Sunday and didn’t see anything worth stopping for. However, it looked like a boat show in Crowders, so something must’ve been biting.

There is a lot of bait in Crowders but saw very few fish. Boats draw other boats and before long it’s crowded.

Only way to know what they are doing is to get out there and look for them. Youre WAY AHEAD of the game once they turn back on again as you already know where to look. Congrats on the ones you caught.
