Default Had to Work For Them

Put in at SouthPoint Sunday and drove way down the lake checking brush piles as I went. Couldn’t find fish holding to structure. Ran into a guy (who I believe is on this forum) and gave me a heads up where there were some holding around Goat Island. He was right, but man they were tight lipped. Did manage to scratch out a few including a new boat record. Right at 15” and 1.5#. Also found some magnum perch mixed in too.

Hate you had to work for them. Weather temps don't help either. Big ole girl you got and hope you get another boat record soon. Thanks for sharing your report.

Even though you had to work for them it looks like you ended up with enough for a meal. Thank you for sharing your trip and pictures with us

Looks like a real good one there. Its been tough with this cold weather but it looks like you was rewarded well for your efforts. Congrats.

Wylie has been tuff for me last few weeks. 15 inch fish is a nice reward for fishing hard. Good Job.

Good job catching those few. Good to bump into a friendly fisherman for sure.

Behind Goat island in about 43-45FOW. Birds were working on the flat behind McClean. About 150 yards south of where the south fork meets the main channel.
