Default Lake Murray no bites on live gizzards

I haven't even seen a sign of a fish all day, got 4 rods out with gizzard shad. Been all around the dam area, points, drop offs, deep water, shallow water, around the islands, you name it. Forgot to put my plug too, glad I thought of that before parking my truck!

If you’re Striper fishing you’re probably 20 miles too far south. Most are up in the river.

TB is correct, in the past I’ve spent a lot of time winter trolling for stripers at Murray. This time of year you need to be fishing between marker 25 and Big Man’s landing. We used to wear em out up there in December and January. Look for the birds and fish in the areas around them.

Feel bad for you on all accounts. I have been the victim of not taking the straps off and floating the trailer while trying to figure out why my brother is cussing me out. But hey! I thought it was his job to unhook them he was back there.
