Cool! At one time I was told that Lake Russell didnt have any white crappie. Me, along with a few others here proved that wrong too. Ive even caught a couple black nosed crappie on Clark Hill.

Ain’t surprised. Norman has white crappie and it feeds Wylie. They say ain’t no striper but I have caught 3-4 over the years. Wish they would stock both of in Wylie.

Billy, They use to be a lot on Wylie back in the 50's and 70's. I got a picture here somewhere with a table top full of them. The floods brought those in here most likely. Heck we caught a couple of hickory shad or something that isn't normal in Wylie a couple years ago in BA. Lynnie used them for bait. Look out for the snakehead you may get lucky!

    Default White crappie Wylie

I’ve caught a few Whites in Wylie this year. 10 1/2 inches is the biggest I’ve caught. Caught May 11

We used to catch them pretty often back in the 90's around Seven Oaks Bridge.
Haven't seen any in year on Wylie.
But I did get away from fishing for a few years... Not by choice.

Keep on stocking! If I ever get back to High Rock might try to keep alive long enough to splash em here. Just heard a friend saying that by the way.

We need to get rid of those perch so the crappie has a chance to live and grow. But it is to late for that. Remus is the only crusading fighter we have taking on that challenge daily! He has a old fishfinder that still works barely and an old Dawgg that is not able to point anymore. So! Yes, bring in all the crappies you can.

If you want perch, go up in front of the new Marina they are building in Catawba Creek. They are thick up there. At one time last weekend we had all 8 rods w/ perch on them at the same time. There's no real size to them, but if you are wanting to entertain the kiddos or if anyone needs catfish bait, there you go.
