    Default Wylie 4-2-21

Went and braved the winds. Launched at South point landing. Fished a couple areas out of the wind much as possible, but that wind was everywhere. Managed 10 crappie, 5 keepers and 5 dinks. 1 jumbo perch, and a eater catfish. Something Hugh hit one of my lines and bounced my rod and reel slap out of the holder. Tried for 30 mins to find it but no luck. 6 month old rig gone...Wylie 4-2-21Wylie 4-2-21 All in all had a good time just sick I lost a rod and reel. Water temp start 57.7. ended at 57.9. Fished 6-24 fow, catch all fish 15-18 fow.
Looking forward to Spring Fest 21. Should be a great day and hope for a great turnout.

Dang Neil! I feel your pain and sadness. I got a Lady President and a 7 foot Cherry Wood Berkley under the power lines above the pier on Big Allison. Someone with me dropped my wife's rod and reel in. Replaced it and it stays in the house now under her supervision.

That sucks about your rod, but hey it could be worse. A buddy of mine dropped his 80lb Ultrex in Clarks Hill one morning. He never put the U-Bolt in the QRB, went to drop the motor in the water and straight to the bottom it went!
