I was thinking of taking the wife this weekend. We were going last weekend but the fridge died and I sat at the house all day Saturday waiting on the repair man. Might go for cats. Never tried them.
Any news on the water color and level at Wateree?
If I get to go this weekend.

I was wondering how the water levels are myself, want to go next week.
I know after Thanksgiving they often start dropping the water levels & you can drop off the ramps.
Lately I have been using Wateree Creek landing, wonder if anyone knows how that ramp does in lower water levels.
FYI, in the past I have dropped off of Clearwater cove & State Park landings.
Water is really low but pretty clear.
Wateree Creek ramp is good, but use the one closer to the bridge side. There’s a stump on the main lake side. Colonel Creek is ok, kinda steep, and no courtesy dock anymore so solo fishing is tough. Buck hill landing is good.Clearwater and beaver creek are pretty much unusable unless you have a small job boat. I’ve heard Taylor Creek and June Creek are fine. Handful of boats out today fishing the lower lake for striper. Upper lake seems to be better for cats and crappie.

Wateree is way, way low, I put in at June Creek last Thursday, no problem, just trim your motor an ease out carefully till you hit deep water. Water was dingy last week not sure if it has cleared any.

I wonder why they drop Wateree so low but from what I heard they do not do that as bad with the lakes above & below Wateree?
What about Fishing Creek, anyone know how the levels are on it?
I may try Springs Park Landing but have never been there before. I looked a google maps & the landing seems nice.

There are some hazardous areas in Fishing creek so be careful. If you go up river stay close to the channel. You could be in 12 foot of water and then 2 foot all of a sudden. Rocks and log jams submerged under water. Good area to fish though!
Thanks for all the help guys.
Our Lake Wateree HOA wanted it lowered so folks could do repairs in docks seawalls. Duke happily jumped onboard so they wouldn’t be blamed for the flooding quite as much. My dock has just enough water at 94.5 to float my boat but many folks can’t and those that don’t remove their boats are stuck in the mud now. Starting 2022 for 18 months it will this low or lower.
I get it helps people repair existing or build new docks but it seams that something like that could be done every 2 to 3 years or so.
2022, they might as well just shut the lake down. I know there is not a lot around Wateree in the sense of businesses but that's really going to hurt what few places there are. Good to know so I don't make any camping reservations at the S.P. for 2022 & 2023.
