Had plans to rent a house at Wateree back before Thanksgiving. Plans were disrupted by the flood. Finally got another time set up after Thanksgiving.
Arrived Sunday evening11-29-20. Day 1 Monday was rough. 15 to 20 mph winds and started with rain. Only managed 6 fish.
Day 2 Wind was still bad with small craft advisory out. Marking fish everywhere. Were were determined to make the best of it. Managed 16. The only time we would get a fish on was if the wind would lay down for a few seconds. Says a lot about bait presentation. Day 3. A beautiful day, winds laid down, water temp was 59 degree, water was stained but very fishable. Fished down lines with shiners.
Limited out with three limits and even throwed some small ones back. All by 10:30 . What a great day the Lord give us. Headed home Wednesday afternoon.
Thursday, all I could think of was them stripers calling my name. Called a friend and went back Friday. Bite started off slow and not real aggressive. However about 9:30 we finally got on some feeding fish and caught 2 limits.
Also we took the bloodlines that we cut out of the striper we cleaned and fished from the dock of the evening. Catfish love bloodlines.
Had a time getting pictures to rotate correctly , hope they turn out aright.
