    Default What ramps are open?

Normally I fish around the Goose Creek area, Back River/Bushy Park and Goose Creek Res but those ramps are listed as closed. I don't mind running up to Santee, but where can I put the boat in the water? I'm about to go stir crazy.

Most privately run ramps are open. Any state maintained or operated ramps are closed. Find where you wish to try and fish and call ahead to validate they are operational. Some private facilities have chosen to abide by the State mandate even though they are not required to by law.

I guess the new mandatory home or work order beginning tonight at 5pm kind of kills any hopes of getting out.

You're more optimistic than I am.
I'll bet the private ramps that are open, like Black's, will be swamped.

Actually no. Outdoor recreation is specifically mentioned as acceptable. There are restrictions on who can be in boat but you can drive your boat to an available landing and be on your way. 1-2 people in boat are not being checked and don't have to be same household. You do have to maintain 6 ft spacing however.
Over 2 in boat gets sticky so if that applies I urge you to read the new rules.

I think we're going to find somewhere on the Edisto River, close to Cottageville.

With a pontoon you could get a person on three corners and as long as you maintain 6 foot apart and don't ride to the lake in same vehicle you might get away with not breaking the law. That depends on the person checking you of course, if he's an azz or not. I got my on suspicions about this closing the ramps down and the DNR being spread to thin. Turkey hunting is going on and they can't be two places at the same time. My nephew got a ticket Saturday morning at his club for hunting near a empty deer feeder. $225 to be exact. He was about 400 yards from it and the DNR man said the turkey had to cross him to get to the feeder. Chad is going to fight it in court but we know how that works most of the time! Just be carful if you go and be safe. I got to work with the idiots that can't remember where everything goes and they do like to get real close without thinking of anyone else!
