Thread: The South Carolina Crappiefest has been canceled.

Tough decision SH, but I agree that it is a good one. Many of our folks are retired, and we don't want anything bad to happen to any of us.

I cancelled my reservation just now. So sorry that we won't meet up this time, but we will at another time for sure.

I hate it as bad as anyone, and I was really looking forward to seeing all my CDC friends, but it's the right decision at this time.

We've got to get past this crisis as quickly as we can (while there's still a little minnow money left in my 401K!) so we can all get back to doing what we enjoy.

Lifting up a prayer that this will soon pass and we can reschedule in the not-too-distant future!

Ya'll need to stop drinking the kool aid. I'm 62 years old lived through polio, TB, Measles, chicken pox, swine flu, The FLU (30,000 died last year). Close schools where are all the sick kids, how many people do you know sick, according to the media they should be lining the streets. I was taught to find the truth, if this gets me kick off of here then so be it, but I know BS when I smell it

We all know it seems way overblown. But we ain't scientists. We have an older community, so all we are doing is playing it safe. We can always reschedule. Better safe than sorry. Thank you for understanding.

and some of us are drinking CHEMO and it ain't no fun for sure !!!! I rather be safe on this side of the GRASS then sorry looking UP from the other side of the GRASS !!!!

Unfortunately I'm not getting my BS from the media. My DIL is a Doctor at a medical university. I'm am currently undergoing chemo treatment for pancreatic cancer at my local hospital and I'm seeing and hearing first hand how fast this is spreading and how far behind we are at testing and treating the virus.
I fully agree the media is to blame for causing widespread panic and hoarding of food and toiletry.
But to say this is a blown up hoax is far far from true. When I see the hours my DIL is putting in trying to get medical students not only trained but having the latest knowledge on how to treat diseases such as this, it's real folks .
The next 2 months according to both of them are ground zero for us.
I'd love to be 100% wrong on this but I'm forming my opinion from people I know and trust with my life.
