    Default Highway 9 bridge Lancaster

I recently took a job at Pageland at the high school after retiring in nc. I still drive from nc and with the days getting longer thought about pulling my boat down a little to fish the afternoons some. Hate to pull to Wateree because it is almost a 2 hour drive home after. I use to fish the river there at hwy 9 in Lancaster with my neighbor 20 years ago when I lived there. My neighbor always was bass fishing so that is all we did. How is the crappie fishing in that area for those locals. Need some place that is only about an hour away from home (Polkton) when I get done. Thanks.

Blewett falls is closer to ya but that number 9 bridge your talking about goes over fishing creek, i don’t think you’ll be disappointed in the crappie fishing there once you figure out its personality, but wateree is only 30 minutes further

At the bridge you are at the extreme top of fishing creek and it would take awhile to get down to the main reservoir. I haven't fished for crappie there but you can have a ball with the white bass on crankbaits in the summer right before and at dusk

I have a friend at Church that fishes it November on. I went with him 2 years ago and caught crappie. He fishes just below bridge on the left. We were tightline near bank and I was casting a jig towards bank with jig and catching crappie. I think first mouth of a creek on left below bridge we caught them there. He loves that place starting November and not sure how many more months he fishes there.
