Shortstick, receptacles work great. I think my problem is the inverter. Sometimes it works and others it won't. Runs a while then buzzes. It may be a dead cell in the battery. I got another new battery that I'm going to run on it next night trip. We need to be going.

Yeah I told lynnie that you needed to get a new inverter I run mine from a harbor freight 30 dollar inverter and have never had any issues so far

David, how do you have this attached, portable or permanent ? I thought about putting my 4 foot hydro glow over the side this way, but scared I'd burn the light out by not being in the water to keep it cool. Our problem up here is a bass boat may fly by and a wave would slouch up and short the light out or worse.

this is a 52 in. 12v light bar comes with mounting brackets
I used green window tint its water proof and you can get a kit to wire it up simple
    all for under $100.00.
it comes off with 2 screws and a plug in
    i remove it for travel.

Is this dual purpose? For attracting fish and seeing your lines?
