That sounds good Ray
Guys I'm one to be skeptical of things like this but it has been a Godsend for us.
For any of you guys dealing with health problems.
After my Cancer diagnosis, my wife has been run ragged with all the tests, appointments, prescriptions.
Then there's grocery shopping.
My wonderful DIL showed her how to use Instacart and it has been a blessing.
There's some costs but the benefits greatly outweigh the cost.
Our DIL set up an account for us and paid the $100 fee for a years free delivery. (She's an Angel).
We put our card in to pay for items we purchase.
Works like this: Andrea logs into our account on line at grocery store and places items in our shopping cart. When ready, we check out and pay for groceries. (Same prie as in store )
Within minutes we get notified that XYZ is our shopper. So far, all have been young ladies trying to supplement their income. All clean cut professional ladies. On occasion if she can't find exact item she texts us a picture of substitute to see if it is OK. Even sent pictures of bunches of bananas to ask which looked best to us.
She bags up everytng and notifies us she is enroute. Start to finish is usually less than a hour.
We do tip her 10% for delivery service.
I cannot begin to tell you what a burden this took off my already tired wife. We are both in our 70s.
If you live alone this is even more of a life saver. We use Publix but several stores participate in the program.
Really been a blessing these last few weeks.

Not to minimize this as I see the value, but it would be very cool to apply to fishing. We could start an Instafish app. Brett would be assigned to go out to the lake of our choosing, show us the intended target fish on the livescope, and when he catches one he can text a pic to see if it is acceptable.
My wife was recently diagnosed with breast cancer and is undergoing 16 weeks of chemotherapy and then will have surgery followed by radiation. While we do not use Instacart we do the online ordering and pickup with Kroger. I love it, sure beats me having to try and find everything at the store, we pay a little for the service and I always tip the worker.

That works well too, but a couple times we simply didn't have time to go to store while dealing with home issues.
It's overwhelming the first few weeks.

Ray , Is this a local thing or state wide? Sounds great.
Sent from my iPhone using Crappie.com Fishing mobile app
Instacart is nationwide but varies as to which stores use it. My DIL uses Publix in NC and she set ours up and paid for 1st year delivery. You can try free or 2 weeks to see if you ike it. I think Aldi and BiLo also participate Lexinton.
It's easy to set up. Only reason my DIL set it up was she wanted to gift us the 1st year. There is an App for it but I just use the browser in my Kindle.

Ray, what a great blessing for you and your wife. God knows our needs always and blesses us by putting people in our paths, revealing things to us according to his plan. Continued prayers for your family, John

Great deal! My wife had checked into this sort of ordering when her mother was home bound and living with us. She passed on and we didn't go any further with it. We even had the paper delivered to the door for her. Thanks Ray for the info!
