    Default Wateree Flooding

Not sure how many of you have seen but Wateree is experiencing severe flooding. 106 foot this morning. That's 6 feet of water spilling over the top of the dam. It was dropped to 93.5 before the rain. Average spring/summer/fall level is 97.5. No doubt there will be lots of damage. Plenty of houses start experiencing flooding around 103'. The record flood was Hugo at 106.9 to put it in perspective, hopefully we have crested.

There is alot of damage to the houses and boat ramps docks you name it. I have been looking at pictures all day and this storm just wrecked everything down the river. About to be going down to Clearwater area to check on a place down there with a buddy of mine.

Clarks Hill has gone up 5.5 feet in 2 days. For a lake as big as Clarks Hill, that is a whole lot of water. I did not fish it today but a friend fished a bass tournament there today and said it was really muddy with lots and lots of debris. I am hoping to get up there next week but I doubt I will find any clear water anywhere.

Lot of waiting now for it to clear up and get fishable. I just hate all the damage that happened. My work partner John Hammett saw three guys rigging up at Big Allison early this morning. He said they looked like crappie fishermen with rod holders. Got to be crazier than me. Yep weather is the result of climate change. They can't hide from it for ever. I think the Gov. wants it to happen so they can get the oil and gold that is under the ice. It will open wide open for the gold rush. Russia, just put a huge floating nuclear vessel in Alaska. What would they want up there? Tomorrow we'll be in shorts and tee shirts again. Let do a night stalk who's with me?
