My 2 cents...
If a man isn’t putting out brush piles, he shouldn’t be fishing brush piles. If I find one I’m fishing it but I’m also putting them out
with side scan, you can find every pile in the lake.....I still say once it is in the water, its for everyone.People that know me,know how many piles I have put in!

Playing devil's advocate here, but how about docks? Majority of us have fished them but unless you live on the lake it's unlikely you built one. Mariner owners have been cited for trying to keep anglers from fishing around boat slips but the law says it's public water
I rarely fish a brush pile so kind of a moot point for me but I don't think this issue will ever change.

I think what we're seeing is the disagreement caused between those who "place" brush and those who "find" brush. I've done both, and I am on the water a lot. If I locate a brushpile on a trip, and it's productive, you can believe I'll fish it repeatedly. What would happen if the "owner" tells me it's his and I should move? No idea. It's never happened. Clarks Hill is huge and there are plenty of places to fish. I've also sunk brush, and if I should ever find a boat fishing "my" brush, I can't imagine I'd confront the people over them catching a few fish. Just spend a day searching for brush and have lots of potential honey holes instead of just one or two. My first generation side scan stinks on my Helix 7 and I can't see brush that I'm sitting beside, but people with good equipment who know what they're doing can find dozens of good looking brush piles with just a little searching.

People that put out brush are doing real work. Everyone understands that.
They also often put out a lot of brush.
Just go to the next one.
Chances are that spot will open up soon.
Also chances are there will be many fish still there.
Pulling up near the guy's boat and complaining is just a way to start an argument or worse.
I have put it out solo and with a group.
Maybe i add to someone's existing brush pile. NOW ITS MY BRUSH PILE.
KEEP OFF!

If you put out brush and think it won’t be found you’re delusional and need help. If you pay thousands on side scan and don’t find brush you’re pretty stupid and have wasted your money. I refuse to be either.

I am in Cabo San Lucas but will weigh in on this. First i alwzys try to respect other brush piles that I know certain ones planted if I see them out there. If zi dont see them then open game. How can I discern which brush belongs to who. I am retired now and will help anybody plant brush. I dont care about fixhing those piles because I have fun scanning finding then catching fish. In faxt if I help you drop brush I would not fish it because I hnow it is yours. We at the forumn had got together znd planted a bunch of condos. All you have to do is come buy friendly and talk and I eill respect you and your brush. This is a very complicated and lets all on both sides be civil and respect.
this sounds to much like politics to me.
just go fishing and have fun
