Default Anybody Gonn Fish In The Rain This Weekend?

The water is heating up fast and the fish are gonna go deep soon. This very well may be my last weekend or so to slay the crappies. I hope to go Saturday rain or shine but I WONT be going in a thunderstorm. With a 90% chance Saturday I don't mind putting on a rain suit or even getting a little wet but I certainly don't want to get lightning struck. Anybody else thinking about fishing this coming weekend?!?

The Santee late spring bite has been smok’n hot here of late. I made it safely to a near by boat landing, but had to ride out one of the worst wind, thunderstorm I’ve ever seen last Saturday afternoon. Three boats made it to the dock around the same time the storm rolled in. We all tied up, I grabbed my rain suit and went inside the store right when the 50 plus mph winds hit. One by one the ropes holding the boats broke as the boats slammed the dock. All boat owners, including myself were forced to ride out the storm on the dock, while holding our boats as best we could. My arms and shoulders are still giving me problems from the experience. On a brighter note, I took a friend back out on Sunday and slayed them once again. I will be on the water this weekend come rain or high water!
