While I don't use feather jigs I use tubes and they are the normal size tubes and the colors are black/chartreuse and orange/chartreuse seem to work well in the creek. I happen to live on Gumlog Creek.
I will be fishing in the upper part of the Tugaloo River branch of Hartwell. Around the Tugaloo State Park, which is on the Georgia side. Near Gum Log Creek.
For those of you that use feather jigs on Hartwell, what colors have you found to be the most effective? Give me Head/Body/Tail.
Thanks
Gill

Thanks, sooners98. I assume you mean a black or orange jig head and a Chartreuse tube or do you mean a tube that is 2 colors? I have never understood what these color codes mean. I live almost directly across the main channel from Tugaloo State Park on the SC side.

Black/chartreuse is one jig color, usually a 1/16 or 1/32 oz weight. Black chartreuse and june bug chartreuse are my go to colors on gum log. Great restaurant there right above gum log creek at old schoolhouse area.
