Havent checked that area but I would guess muddy at the mouth of Little River and clearer out towards English Creek. You should be able to find suitable water to fish if you spend the time looking.

I fished Georgia side today in fishing creek and soap creek and they are stained but just about right. I thought little river South Carolina would be more stained up the river is why I went to these creeks.
Darker colors are working well in the stained waters. Clarks hill has a bumper crop of smaller crappie population that will ensure plenty of catches in the future.
All fish caught today were released for another day.
Hope you get on the crappie.

It's not the numbers or the size, it's the time spent on the water!

That’s good news. I love to fish in fishing creek. Guess I’ll check them both out this weekend.

Fished Clark Hill Tuesday. Water pretty dingy, but caught 12 total.

I agree with all the post above this. Went to the Hill today. Ended up with24. Not the size that usually catch. Just has me thinking the fish ready to lay eggs are closer to the bank than what I fished. Colors really varied today. Morning they liked darker then just a hair lighter as the day went on through the rain. Stil plenty of stripers being caught as well. Water temp 56. Backs of creeks. Good clarity in water just barely stained. Sure the rain today will stain it some more.
