    Default Wateree 2-14-19

Put in at Taylors Creek this morning. Lots of birds out on the channel. Drifted & trolled cut bait for cats. Marked a lot of bait at the mouth of Taylors but only caught 2 cats. One was maybe 5 lbs & the other(our biggest from wateree) was 45 lbs.

Ran down to June creek. There, we marked a lot of fish but got only a couple of bites.

    Slow, Slow day

Someone must have caught some crappies. Must have been 25 boats out in front of the state park.

Back to wylie in the morning.

It's not the numbers or the size, it's the time spent on the water!

You should have caught more. That one was the scout and they are usually the smallest one. Almost like the runt of the brood

I would be tightlining staging areas and deep water (15-25 fow) at the front of coves and creeks this time of year. Should be time for the bigger females if i was crappie fishing.
