Was waiting on your post Don. Glad you got out, I know you were ready for a trip. With this weather, going to be hard not to go. Fresh Crappie for dinner tonight??
Me and satoma aka Todd Martin went to Greenwood this morning to give the crappie a go. We pulled jigs on 1/8 head jigs around 12 ft deep at 1 mph. Brought around 8 nice ones home for supper. Saw a couple nice messes caught. First trip in a while and felt good.

What were the water conditions like? I believe I saw you say you live in Rocky Creek on Murray. How was the water color compared to the elbow area on Murray right now? I've run through there a couple of times recently and it was still pretty bad. I was assuming that mud was coming down from Greenwood.
Hey Don good to see you getting out.

91 river I fished Greenwood and not murray. I got no water at my dock so boat is still on trailer. Thinking about putting in at ramp 3 tomorrow and looking around some.
Glad y'all were able to go and had a good time. Y'all had a good day for it. Congrats on the catch.

Sinker Maker, sorry for my confusing question. I was asking about the water conditions on Greenwood but did a horrible job of asking it. I was wondering how Greenwood looked compared to the area you live on Murray.
I really had a good fall on Greenwood even after the first wave of mud. But once the water temps plummeted, I couldn't get a single bite in that cold muddy water. Curious if it cleaned up a little. Glad to hear y'all had a good day.
Up where the river splits the water is just a little stained some would say perfect. Tight liners were doing real good. We pulled so we did not catch as many as they did. I had a hot tip there was some fish in cane creek so we rode down there. They were not there and cane creek is pretty muddy with very little trash. If you tight line up where twin rivers is at and find them should be able to catch a good mess. hott color was black blue chartreuse and no minners were harmed today.
