Hate you didn't find the biting fish but you had a beautiful day to be on the lake. Thanks for the report.
Took toon out and it still floats. Talked to park office n they were no longer getting minnows a week ago so stopped at the traffic circle store and almost had a second strike. They only had about 8 dozen minnows so I got 5 dozen. Got to the gate and waited for them to show. Hours are 8-5 right now so it is what it is. Got toon setup and launched. Rode around and looked for shad. Figured I’d see if some spots I like had fish. Nope. Rode to the dam and the FF either broke or there was so much bait in the water that I couldn’t find a hungry fish. Spider rigged all over, channel, spillway, rock dam, humps, deep flats, shallow flats, secondary points, fish attractors. Nothing. The beads banged a few times maybe 5 all day and nothing. Oh well, was a beautiful and peaceful day on the water.

One rod, one jig, one fish at a time.
You should have fished with us at High Rock. You could have caught nothing with us and had a good time laughing at me. I want to get up there with you and MTHook one day and check out the lake. I promise to sit still and come back when told to and no leash required.
Once I get a better trailer I’ll pull my toon to high rock, wylie and wateree more often. Once daylight savings starts back, the hours get a little better but they charge $8 to get in pulling a boat.
I have not been out there for a couple of months and that water looks like mud soup, what is that bad?
My Pops got a Sr. pass. Got his money worth out of it.
Oh I could wrestle a monster fish
