Catching anything of any size was hard today. Just like tackleboat, we caught a bunch of little perch at several spots. Only had maybe 12 that were medium size. Most were caught on minnows by fishing buddies while I used spoons. I did catch about 15 on the spoons.

Bite was pretty good for the first hour, then, it was hard to get any bites. About 2 PM, we caught several at one spot. Same as before, all were small.

Ended up with 1 crappie, 1 bass & about 80 perch.

Im looking at gulp minnows when the bite is slow. I know it is a little more money but just easier then all the fuzz of buying and keeping minnows.

I saw the old fisherman when it was slow they would just bite the gulp minnows on top and not the jig on bottom.

Glad that at least numbers of fish were biting, even if they were small perch. I have a friend on mill creek, I told him he needs to get out there and catch some of those perch on his kayak.

I need to get down that way soon as well, i miss all those perch in wylie.

Big Allison & Little Allison were clearer than last week. I think the water temp was 51. Perch & crappies are biting. Probally be out there in the morning.

Armed with minnows, spoons & Gulp Alive minnows. Time to see how the Gulp minnows stack up against the real thing.
