Ya cant catch em sittin on the couch ! Have been out in 20 degree weather and did well. Never know. Good Luck. Be Carefull and dress warm.
Wanting to go to Clarks Hill (lake Thurmond) on Monday. Weather man says suppose to get down to 23 degrees, but 44 and sunny with little wind during the day. All this in efforts to catch some perch and crappie. Think the bite will be too slow to justify going? Any tips are accepted as well as I have never targeted perch before.
Find out where Charles is fishing.
Follow him, he will give you about 50

Was wanting to fish the hill yesterday but didn't have things in the boat ready. Good luck and please let us know how you do. If you see birds diving then spoon fish underneath them.
BTW, welcome to the boards.
Health nuts are going to feel stupid someday, lying in hospitals dying of nothing.DSorrow08 thanked you for this post
Dang I dove off the toon in 24 degree heat one time. Now only way I dive in is when bigdawgg throws me in and I can out run him.

DSarrow08, did you go? The crappie appear to be starting to school as of Thursday. 2 weekends ago they were still suspended. Water getting below 50 degrees now. 30 - 35 foot of water was where they seemed to be.

Yes, water 48 degrees then moved up to 51 mid day. Only luck was pulling jigs in 20-25ft water. Still suspended but not over any structure. Just followed the contours of the lake. Muddy water though. Best water I could find was still stained. Besides the main channel itself.
