    Default Going Fishing!!

I saw my orthopedic surgeon today. He gave me the good news, "Sure you can take that boat and go fishing." He wanted to know what I was going to fish for and I told him "crappie." He likes to go to Reelfoot lake duck hunting and crappie fishing. So, I got the line changed on all my rods and will try it in the morning. God is good!!

Tackleboat, it is the best therapy I have had in a while! Before knee surgery I was in cardiac rehab. Then had knee surgery and in therapy for that. So it has been since June. Now the wait is over. Doesn't matter if I catch fish, I am going fishing!

God is good indeed; and life is filled with twists. Got up this morning to head to Lake Lyman to go slab hunting and my wife got a call about her sister who has dementia. She is not doing good. So I put the rods back and we will head over there to see her.
She is a Christian, a good lady and this has been rough on her and her family. Not sure what they are going to do.
Family before fishing. But, I now I know I can go fishing--either tomorrow or the next day. Keep her sister in your prayers. But, hey, I will be on the water soon now. Will hopefully have some pictures to show.

Sorry for the ruined fishing trip and yes family does come first. There will be other days to go fishing. 4 years ago I missed almost a whole year due to cancer and heart problems and sure was happy when I was able to get back on the water. I am having a knee replacement on the 21st of November and will be down a while. After that hopefully no more surgeries.

God is good, all the time. Sorry about the fishing trip but you are right to have your priorities in proper order. Praying for all in this time of need.

You will certainly be in my prayers. May the surgery and recovery go well. Will check on you later.
