    Default Wateree 10/6/18

Boat still needs a couple things so we went pier fishing about 6 - 11 PM. Tons and tons of small bream around, didn't net any shad until after dark. It was pretty slow. Got a 3.5 lb striper on a 4" threadfin floated out and then a 13 lb blue on the same rig on a 4" shiner. Both about 4" deep. Not even a bump on the bottom rods.

There was a 70 boat catfish tournament on the same day, 7AM-3PM, 66 lbs won it, big fish was 28.50 lbs so we don't feel too bad. Tough bite.

Hope the bite will pick up when the water cools down some.

Looks like flooding rains are heading our way again by end of week. That will put a dampening on the crappie bite.

Sounds like you had a good catch for tough conditions, thanks for the report.
