Me and microps met jig puller at high rock this morning for some fishing. After a good breakfast we unloaded my boat and went out and tried to find some fish. We pushed jigs out the front and Tim pulled out the back. They were scattered and hard to find for us. That was my first trip since April and I enjoyed getting out on the water. We tipped our jigs with minnows but I don't think it would have mattered. We caught fish without minnows when we ran out. Dawgg the restaurant at the landing serves good food and is reasonable on there pricing. I brought home 15 eating size fish most right around 10 inches. Will give to a neighbor who recently lost his wife.

Glad you caught some fish and got to know the lake some. I know I'll enjoy the restaurant after a day on the lake. I just didn't want to go to long without eating being diabetic. Hope we all get into some good fish on the 29th. Thanks for the report Don. How was you hotel?
Way to go Don! Glad you was able to get back out !
From what I saw they should not be to hard to find. We were in 15 to 20 ft water fishing From 12 to 18 foot down. I hope to make one more trip up there before the clash. It is a three hour drive from my house and getting up at 3:30 is rough on this old man. Still enjoyed getting back on the water.
The restaurant at the ramp is a very good place, Tamarac across the road is good also, except it is small. I plan to pre-fish the week before and week of the Clash, it will be in the afternoon after work, so if anybody is going that way let me know.
Nice report Mr. Don. I'm certain if you haven't been since spring, that catching a few surely was a good feeling. Congrats to you and the gang!

sinkermaker thanked you for this post
My last trip was in April and I had my right knee replaced in May and with all the problems I had I couldn't get back on the water. Now my knee is doing good and I am having the left one replaced on November the 21 if not sooner. So it will be around February before I can start fishing again. The physical therapy keeps you so sore you have no desire to do anything. I will get in a few trips before then. Going to Kentucky lake in October.
Glad you were able to get back on the water. Hope to see you at the clash.
