Thanks a lot fellows. Don't know if the boy will get the fishing bug like his Papa, but Papa sure enjoys the time we get to spend on the water now. I know all lakes are not created equal. Santee is one of the few lakes where you can still get away from the crowd, especially the pleasure boaters even on a Saturday. The stumps and trees just don't treat those big old wake makers too kindly. lol

You should PM that picture with the grand boy to Slab for consideration on the calendar. Good picture.
    Tell'em I'll be there.

I do have some GPS coordinates, but most are just near some kind of structure which I use to get near the piles.

It depends, if I feel most of the old brush is gone, or it just stops producing. I will place a new tree right on top of the old. Water depth also plays a part in this decision making process, the deeper the water, the higher off the bottom I want the brush. If I’m in the process of enlarging a brush, I will place the new tree near existing one.

Nice pictures as all ways. Where did your grandson get that red hair from? I remember way back when he was just an infant you posted a picture of you and him. Some joker on here said that he had your hair! Do you remember that Tim? I can. Thanks for sharing the pretty pictures.
