Hope that's what happened,
I had interference on an older Troller the repair guy added a ground strap to fix the problem. You would think the factory would have done that.
I just went and picked up my trolling motor from the crappie hole. Mark said the trim up housing was full of water and caused it to not work. He said that was the third one he had seen do that. Somebody at the factory is not doing there job looks like. I hope it stays fixed for a long time.

Is this the housing for the actuator motor that turns the big threaded rod? My boat stays inside unless I'm on a multi day trip but even pulling in a hard rain makes me worry a little if this is a chronic problem. I wonder if it could be sealed with a bead of silicone?
This is the housing that is on top of the stow housing that has the actuator. I don't think it is a big problem to worry about. Could be the factory forgot to seal it. I have not. Had any trouble with the other 2 I have had.
Great information, thanks!
